Where is Roz? Has She Abandoned Us? Not For a New York Minute!
I’m here…
I am still searching for that perfect identy and trying to learn Social Networking and Social Marketing and video and audio and this and that. There is so much to learn, it is unending and I am completely exhausted with my ”off-line life” stepping in to take my attention now and again.
I turn 65 in two months. Just writing that makes me shudder. I neither look 65 or feel it on most days. I would have never believed that turning 65 would be so traumatic — after all, it is just a number, isn’t it?

The Say It With eCards Blog is more active. That used to be the What’s New Page / New eCards Page on the Say It With eCards website (http://www.SayItWithEcards.com). It got to be miles long, and I finally turned it into a blog a year ago. Check it out:

Today I plan to upgrade my Windows XP Professional to the latest SP (service pack). I am still running SP1. I have three internal hard drives and I am terrified there will be a glitch and I will lose it all. I am backed up on four external hard drives. My images are my life’s work.
So that’s about it. Woke up early and wandered to the computer - BIG MISTAKE!
With Thanksgivng in less than two weeks, Say It With eCards will be a buzz with Judaic Themed Thanksgiving Day eCards. After all, “Jewish People are Thankful too! We are a grateful people!” Say It With eCards Judaic Greetings offers a huge assortment of Judaic Thanksgiving eCards. Check it out at:

Since it is 6:40AM on a Sunday morning I am gonna get a little more rest. I am afraid to start the Windows XP upgrade when I am still feeling sleepy. It’s never a good idea to fool with major computer techie stuff when you do not have your “full wits” about you.
I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU

Free 911 Tribute eCards Help Keep The Memories Alive…
Even seven years later… Thinking about 911 is a personally gut-wrenching experience for me.
I had wanted to, and begun, to write an account of that fateful day — to share as well as use as a method of closure for me — but I can’t complete it. At least not at this time. It is just much too painful to go back there, even after all these years. It was a life altering experience for all of us. As much as things stay the same, nothing will ever be the same after September 11, 2001.
My heart breaks for all those who lost loved ones. The memories and visions they harbor must be unbearable.
I can still see the groups of people with photos and flyers searching for loved ones. Living in NYC, those flyers were still posted weeks and months after that fateful day.
The smoke from the burning towers could still be seen weeks and what seemed liked months later from way up Madison Avenue.
I remember going to — what I would call - a huge makeshift military center way over on 12th Avenue by the Westside Highway, off the water. They had services of all kinds, including the ability to speak to psychologists and psychiatrists who volunteered their time. Yes… I did speak to one! Even here the flyers appeared of lost loved ones as well as lovely pictures sent in by children around the country!
Christmas 2001… I forced myself to go to Manhattan and visit the tree in Rockefeller Center. There were police everywhere wearing black bands across their badges. I could barely speak as I personally shook the hands of police officers I came in contact with and thanked them for what they do. (It never occurred to me to thank them or the firefighters before September 11, 2001. I am ashamed to admit this, but it is the truth!)
Let me stop my ramblings here and now…
MY 911 TRIBUTE – Please join me in keeping the memories alive. It is FREE!

Roz Says: Free Shabbat Shalom eCards Help People Stay Connected
A few weeks ago I was watching Suze Orman. It broke my heart how many were having financial difficulties, with some in immediate danger of losing their homes. However…
One common thread stood out with all… their communication with spouses, significant others, families, friends, etc. was severely breaking down or worse yet… already broken down. (We all know how that is… There are challenges / problems and we crawl into our own little shells!)
It made me think, after all… I am in the communication business. While I could not help these people specifically… Why not offer my visitors a way to communicate freely during Shabbos — The Jewish Sabbath. Why Shabbos? Shabbos is the one thing you can always depend on each week! It comes around each Friday at sundown!
So, I have been offering FREE Shabbat Shalom eCards each week to help welcome in the Jewish Sabbath and help people stay in touch. It might sound trivial to some, but… communication is key and it is my way of giving back!
The Free Shabbat Shalom eCards can be found here:

Inspiration Runs Wild When Daybreak Dawns
Bleary eyed and exhausted I dragged myself out of bed to try out a new Facebook feature I found in my treasured Facebook For Dummies book.
As usual… I was so excited I stayed at the computer longer than I intended.
On my way back to bed to get some rest… I decided to take a look outside as I saw a thin sliver of light through the cracks in the venetian blinds.
Lo and behold — a true picture of “daybreak with puffy pink clouds jutting in and out of the morning sky.
I ran for the camera and that was the beginning of the end. More than 100 digital shots later I am now on my way back to bed!
For sure… I had to have gotten at least one good shot for my diary blog “Designs By Daybreak.” Mission Accomplished!!!
Posted happily with warm regards,

Roz Says: Using Life As Your Inspiration You Never Run Out of Material
Learning how to make lemonade out of lemons…
It just occurred to me, I have not been designing in the last week or so. My heart is heavy as I contemplate the upcoming Say It With eCards 911 Tribute and Rosh Hashanah / Jewish New Year 5769 Celebration - Observances if you will!
In my mind, 911 and Rosh Hashanah will be ever linked. Why? Because 911 happened one week before Rosh Hashanah 2001. On a personal level… I was scheduled to launch my Judaic eCards site for Rosh Hashanah 2001– instead I found myself designing 911 Tribute eCards to honor and pay tribute to those lost and those left behind to pick up the pieces of life.
Besides the horror and devastation of September 11, 2001 for those of us living in New York, the United States of America and other parts of the world, September 11, 2001 altered the path of my life and my career in a very positive way. Doctor Phil would call this a “defining moment!” I will be sharing this gut-wrenching experience with you in an upcoming post.
It’s been kind of a down time while I busy myself with household chores, obligations and the study of social networking and how it can help me and my Judaic eCards business. To be quite honest I am burnt out and feeling sad, or perhaps it is the impending 911 observance and what it means to me and the world. It is seven years, but it feels like yesterday. Imagine what it must be like for those who personally lost loved ones! My heart is broken!
However, when I looked at the title of my last Blog entry it struck me — If I examined my own feelings, now and in the past week, I could design a whole new collection of eCards. I am sure I am not alone in my feelings, as I never consider myself to be unique. In analysis… motivation and inspiration can replace feelings of discontent and misery with productive energy.
It has never been about the eCards to me, it is about the feelings, comfort and emotions the eCards generate for the sender and the recipients. Think about it… in times of challenge, loneliness, sorrow, or even on one of those normally down days most of us encounter from time to time… wouldn’t it be nice, even for just a moment, to feel someone else cared, you were remembered/thought of, you were not alone and isolated in your own misery. eCards accomplish this without being intrusive.
I leave you now with warm regards as I continue my hunt for a really important misplaced piece of paper.
